J.C General Builders is a father-and-son team covering Downley and the surrounding Buckinghamshire area — from garden walls and patios through to full extensions and refurbishments.
We've been quoting and building in Downley for years — it's a spot we've been travelling to more and more as word has spread. There's no site manager and no call centre: you deal with James and Callum directly.
The housing around Downley runs heavily to Chiltern cottages in flint, brick and render, with a fair share of substantial Victorian and Edwardian villas mixed in. Matching brick, mortar colour and detailing to what's already there matters more here than most people expect.
Buckinghamshire is home turf for us. We're based near Aylesbury and we're somewhere in the county most weeks of the year — Vale of Aylesbury new-builds and 1930s semis, Chiltern villages of flint and brick, and the big Victorian and Edwardian houses around Amersham, Beaconsfield and Marlow.
Recent Downley enquiries have leaned towards patios and paving, though we cover groundwork and drainage just as regularly. Porcelain, sandstone, limestone and reclaimed flag patios laid on full mortar beds with proper falls and drainage.
Lane End, Prestwood, Seer Green are all on the same run for us, which keeps travel costs sensible and means we can get back to snag anything quickly. Give us a rough idea of what you want doing in Downley and we'll take it from there.
Tell us what you're thinking of having done and we'll arrange a visit at a time that suits you.
